The World’s First iAd

Well here we have it. An iAd for the Nissan Leaf, the world’s first production ready electric car.
Using revolutionary advertising technology to promote revolutionary automotive technology is a superb strategy. But the creative execution is seriously disappointing.
I don’t have a problem with dramatizing the ‘epic-ness’ of the product development but I doubt the sci-fi fantasy will connect with Leaf’s potential customer base (enviro friendly early adopters). Nissan have an incredible story to tell here. It’s a shame they don’t tell it.
Creative execution aside, this is a great demo of what marketers can achieve with iAd technology.
